Scott Bryce – Then
Scott Bryce was chosen to be the lead character Jo’s love interest. As the show was nearing its end, the producers felt it would be the right choice. The show planned to show the characters getting a taste of adulthood in the final season. As Jo was finished with high school, she met Bonner who showed her new things that she had never been exposed to before.
Scott Bryce – Now
Like his other co-stars, Scott Bryce has a very successful career even after the show wrapped up. Because of his role on ‘As The World Turns’, he received a nomination twice for the Daytime Emmy Awards. He starred alongside ‘When Harry Met Sally’s’ Megan Ryan on the show as well. He even went on to star in hit television shows like ‘Law and Order’ too.
Dawn Gregg – Then
The writer of the show needed to have a fresh face in the cast. They decided that the role of Jenny should go to actress Dawn Gregg. It was a catch 22 because even though there were many characters who had been cut from Season One, producers still needed new recruits. As a result, Dawn Gregg had been chosen. This was a very minor role but it was an important one for the show.
Dawn Gregg – Now
Unfortunately for Dawn Gregg did not have much acting done after ‘The Facts of Life’ ended. She now takes care of her five kids and is blissfully married. She decided back in 2012 that it was time she got back in the saddle. Even after 25 years of being away from the spotlight, she seemed to feel right at home when she started working again. She went from acting to instead work as a writer, producer, and a director.
Mindy Cohn – Then
Young Mindy Cohn was over the moon when she got the role in ‘The Facts of Life’ as Natalie. She was ideal for playing the role and Charlotte Rae discovered her from an all-girls prep school. She had a chance encounter with Mindy while doing some research there. She felt like Mindy would do great on the show and she was absolutely right as she stayed throughout the whole show
Mindy Cohn – Now
”The Facts of Life” was just a stepping stone in the career of Mindy Cohn. She later joined shows like ‘The Second Half’, ”21 Jump Street”, and ”The Secret Life of an American Teenager”. It turns out though that Cohn wanted to hone her cooking skills very badly. She joined the show ‘Worst Cooks in America’, guest-starring in eight episodes of this food show.
