A famous celeb to star on ‘The Facts of Life’ that came only on the final season was Hollywood star, Juliette Lewis. She was cast as Terry Rankin on the show. The original plan was to create a spinoff show, which would be about Lewis’ character’s life. After filming just 2 seasons, the producers decided it was not going to work. She stayed on the show and her career as we all know did not suffer.

In 1991, she was chosen by Martin Scorsese to play Danielle Bowden in the thriller ‘Cape Fear’. And because of Lewis’ stellar performance, she received both Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. She went on to appear on TV movies such as ‘My Louisiana Sky’ and ‘Hysterical Blindness’.
