Jami Gertz – Then
Even if she was not a part of the main cast, Jami Gertz was always memorable. This young actress took on the role of Boots St. Clair and was indeed a character to remember. She had previously done shows like ‘Diff’rent Strokes’, so Gertz appeared on Season Five of the show and was there in four episodes. Gertz was spotted by the show’s creator Norman Lear at a talent search.

Gertz has experienced success both on screen and as a businesswoman. She and her hubby Anthony Ressler, have shares in the MLB team, the Milwaukee Brewers. Her acting career is truly something to flaunt as she has done quite a few shows. Gertz has appeared on ‘Ally McBeal’, ‘ER’, and ‘Entourage’, to name a few. She recently had a guest appearance on an episode of Hulu’s ‘Difficult People’.
Marj Dusay – Then
Marj Dusay’s eight episodes may be little in number, but her impact was far from small. She took on the role as Blair’s mother, Monica, bringing forth a serious tone to the show that was previously full of comedy. With just a few episodes, Marj’s acting skills made her one of the most memorable characters ever. Her career in acting was only getting bigger as years went on.

Apart from ‘The Facts of Life’, Dusay’s career as an actress on daytime TV became quite huge. She had roles on the soap opera ‘Guiding Light’ which ended up winning her a Daytime Emmy award in 1995. She also appeared for three years on ‘All My Children’ and had a role on ‘Days of Our Lives’. By the time ‘Guiding Light’ ended in 2009, she decided to call it quits too.
Jenny O’Hara – Then
Jenny O’Hara played the role of Miss Emily Mahoney and was cut off after just 4 episodes. She was one of the first people from Season One to be given an exit on the show. Even still, O’Hara made a lasting impression thanks to her comedic timing and acting skills. At the time, O’Hara had already done several productions and movies beforehand so she was well experienced.
Jenny O’Hara – Now
Even though her time on the show was short-lived, Jenny O’Hara’s career was no way affected. She ended up starring on the Oscar-winning movie ‘Mystic River’. In TV, she went on to star on hit shows such as ‘Beverly Hills 90210’, ‘My Sister Sam’, ‘ER’, and ‘King of Queens’. She has two kids but has no trouble juggling her career, appearing on shows like ‘American Housewife’, ‘Chicago Fire’, and ‘The Fosters’ in the year 2017.
