Even after David died, the search for suspect Harris carried on for months. After working on the case for a long time, David’s colleagues were able to track Harris down on the island where he was quickly taken into custody. In the end, justice was served and he was imprisoned for involuntary manslaughter and with a sentence of four years in prison as punishment.
A Hole In Their Hearts
As we all know, even if justice is served, there is always something that will never bring back those that have died. It is something that is so unfortunate for people who have lost their lives due to any type of crime. Just like any family who has ever lost their loved ones could relate to, David’s death left a huge void in the hearts of his ones which no amount of jail time would ever fix.
Life Without Dad
Even though David was very young when he died, he made a lot of impact on the people around. He passed away leaving behind his lovely wife and their two children. His kids were just nine and four years of age at that time. His death was especially hard on his daughter because they were very close and spent most of the time off work together.
Remembering Him Always
Like other kids who have to deal with life after their parents die at a very young age, even David’s kids had to grow up without the presence of their father. They had to live their lives, reaching all the milestone occasions in the absence of their dad. Since David was such an excellent father, his kids wanted nothing but to keep their dad’s memory alive.
A Special Day
After getting through school and college, David’s daughter was finally ready to take a monumental step in her life. His oldest daughter Mikayla was now getting ready for her own wedding in October 2017. Even though she knew that it was impossible Mikayla wanted to make sure that her father was there with her somehow. She wanted to involve him any which way she could.
Her Father’s Presence
Now traditionally, we all know that brides are usually walked down the aisle by their dad at the time of their wedding. It is a common dream for girls to want their fathers to walk them down the aisle. However, since Mikayla’s father could clearly not be there anymore, she carried a fitting tribute instead. She was not about to go through with this wedding without her dad not being somehow present there with her.
