Just Like A Dream

Tracey always wanted a destination wedding. Many of her friends had gone for a destination wedding. Moreover, she had grown up planning her wedding. She even knew what kind of gown she was going to wear and which flowers will be scattered on the aisle. She was not going to compromise on her wedding preparations. However, Gina had other plans.

Or A Nightmare?

Gina objected to the idea. She did not want them to get married so far from the home. It was unfathomable for her as to why anyone would like to get married on foreign land where no “no one…speaks English.” Besides she was not sure what kind of security would be there in Colombia. Her complains did not limit to that only.

Expensive

Moreover, she did not like the fact that the guests would have to pay a big amount of their money to fly to Columbia for the wedding. Well, this is not out of the ordinary to see mother’s getting concerned about their children’s weddings. However, Tracey had a hunch that Gina’s concerns were not limited to that only. 

Not Happy

“She thinks we’ll all be murdered (eyeroll), bitches constantly about the cost of her airfare, the size of the wedding, the guests that won’t be able to come, the thought of my fiancee getting malaria,” Tracey wrote. Clearly, Gina detested their plan.

Didn’t Get Along

Tracey knew that Gina wasn’t happy with the wedding. She would have opposed the idea with the same intensity even if they had planned the wedding in their backyard. She mentioned, “I always knew that she wasn’t really my biggest fan.” “She’s polite and very ‘fake’ friendly.” Well, they did not only have different personalities but there were some issues too between them. 

Odd Behavior

Well, the issue concerns Rick, fiance of Tracey. Tracey had been noticing that her future mother-in-law used to behave abnormally or perhaps embarrassingly in the public. She said, “She’ll do things like sit on my fiance’s lap, or tuck his hair behind his ear, and cut his food for him.” “On one occasion I actually saw her actually feed him….in public.”
