So all of this had been some sort of practical joke? So Colton went ahead to profess his love for Taylor. He told her that he wished “to spend every single day of my life with you.” He went on with his words expressing, “I love you more than I could ever imagine, and I couldn’t think of a better way to surprise you.” And then what happened?
Gets Down On One Knee
To say that Taylor was shocked would not even begin to do justice to how she felt when Colton went down on his knee. She could barely keep her tears from rolling down her cheeks when he took out a gorgeous ring. Taylor was caught in a sea of emotions. She felt shocked, confused, ecstatic and in disbelief when all this happened there at the ER.
Will You Marry Me?
Colton then looked her dead in the eye and asked, “Will you marry me?” The mere fact that she found out he was not injured could have been enough but now, he was doing all of this! So clearly Taylor could not bottle in her joy. But wait, even before Colton could finish his sentence, Taylor went on to do something that only increased his happiness.
A Definite “Yes”
Taylor exclaimed “YES” and wen to rest in Colton’s arms sealing it with a kiss and hug. All of this happened in one afternoon and Taylor could not believe it. She had indeed been an emotional wreck, saddened by the thought of her boyfriend’s accident to this. So how did Colton manage to come up with all of this? Surely he needed some help in planning and execution.
The Plan
Taylor’s initial understanding was that Colton’s friends and family were there at the hospital out of pure concern for him due to his accident. She was not aware that they were in on his master plan all along. Moreover, he got the assistance of a lot of other people too. You would not be able to guess who had been his right-hand man all along…
Dear Momma
Colton’s mother had actually helped him with his plan since the start. Taylor was shocked that she was such an easy target. It was fortunate as she and her mother-in-law-to-be were quite close already. To make the whole situation even more believable, even the doctors wanted in on it! Taylor was so amazed and quite impressed by the lengths that Colton went to.
