What About The Ship?

There was yet another possibility about this discovery, that the ship was tossed about so much that the cannons sunk with the ship itself. In both cases, it was still obvious that the cannons were a clear sign that the ship’s final resting place would definitely be close by. Surely the ship could not have sunk that distant from these canons, it was just not possible.

Learning About The Ship Debris

Since this expedition was not a trivial one, Miklos and his team were taking help from anyone they could find. So survey specialist Mike Perna charted multiple unidentified anomalies in a location where they searched. And so using a magnetometer, the team began searching for anything they could find in one of Cooper’s Treasure episodes. What would they encounter?

Not Slowing Down

And so, for them to investigate the vast area more thoroughly, Miklos and his team decided to get themselves behind a boat to have a closer look at the artifacts visually. After doing this, they were able to locate over 40 ship pins and scattered ballast. This was a good push for them to get even more driven to find out more. Mikos and his team were not about to slow down at this point.

Anchor from Christopher Columbus

In the show’s first season, the crew would often use the map to make an incredible find in the Caribbean. There, a centuries-old anchor that could potentially be from one of Christopher Columbus’s ships was found. After they inspected the anchor that they discovered nearby the Turks and Caicos Islands, they realized it was actually from the year between 1492 and 1550.

Leading To Something More

Miklos and the team were able to dig up data about the huge anchor that they uncovered. The size of the anchor and its probable weight signaled that it was a “bower” anchor from a 300-ton vessel. This was the typical size of a Columbus-era ship. Indeed, the discovery of this anchor made the boys realize that soon they would surely get to uncover something worthwhile.

Shipwreck In The Bahamas

On season two of the show, Miklos was on a quest to track down 11 shipwreck sites that were located in the Bahamas that may be loaded with silver, gold, and other treasures. These were estimated to potentially be worth billions of dollars! Information that was given by Cooper showed that there could be about 290 tons of silver alone across the 11 sites during Cooper’s 1966 visit with a partner, Kip Wagner.
