A Big Deal
It was history in the making for both Peter and the museum. In the 150 years of the museum’s existence, they had been able to retrieve only 30 coins throughout the country from that era. However, everything changed after Peter’s finding as it represents the biggest find from the Anglo-Saxon era. The figures on the coins depicted the heads of two kings namely King Ethelred and King Cnut.
No More Worries
Peter and his family are free of all their worries as they no longer have to struggle to pay their bills. As a matter of fact, they have got more than they ever asked for and they don’t need to stress about anything. Thanks to Peter’s findings that they can now buy anything they desire without having to worry about the expenses. From here, it looks like a good life ahead for them.
A Recent Study
The time of the treasure’s presentation coincided with the “Treasure Annual Report” that contained the latest figures and data regarding the discoveries made over the past years. It held the account of the discoveries made in recent years and reported an increase with 990 in 2012, 993 in 2013 and 1,008 in 2014. Over the last five years, the number of treasure hunters relinquishing their right to claim reward has doubled which allows the museums to take possession of them cheaply said the report.
Heart of Gold
We all know how down to earth and humble of a person Peter is. He had not sold the coins to the highest bidder and while it was enough to win everyone’s heart, Peter again did something that left everyone in his awe. He decided to share a part of the bounty he had received with the landowner. It is right to say that Peter is a righteous man with a heart of gold.
