The Sylacauga Meteorite

The same meteorite we have been talking about. The meteorite which made Ann Hodges famous for the very fact that she survived after getting struck by a meteorite. The scar from the injury remained on her body until she passed away. People described the meteorite as a “fireball shooting through the sky.”

The Allende Meteorite

This meteorite crashed in Mexico in 1969. Surprisingly, it was the size of a car before it crashed and got scattered away in pieces all over the place. It is the most famous meteorite and researchers still study it. It is believed that this meteorite is 4.6 billion years old. It is made up of silicates, oxides, sulfides, water, organic compounds, and various other minerals. These are the same elements that are found in the Sun and Planets.
