Most likely Rodica was left at the orphanage because her family couldn’t afford her upbringing cost. She was malnourished which caused other health-related issues for the poor baby girl. As if this wasn’t all that she was also suffering from rickets. Her bones were weak because of Vitamin D deficiency. Knowing that Rodica will require a more keen attention and nourishment, the Canadian couple made up their minds. Unknown of what fate had planned for them.
Record Issues
During the 1990s, Romanian was under the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceauşescu. In those days the records of orphan kids were not even kept properly. Trying to know Rodica’s past will be a difficult task to be done as none of the documents were arranged systematically. How will they get it was a big challenge for the couple yet they were ready to do all that it takes to know where this little girl originally came from.
Looking Into Her Background
Ron and Natalie were determined to give her the life she deserved even if it’ll take extraordinary efforts to bring her up as a healthy child. Trying to dig in Rodica’s past became much more complicated as it was initially assumed to be. At this point, they could have never imagined how the ending would be like.
A Growing Family
Ron and Natalie signed the adoption documents for Rodica and were ready to give her the medical treatment she needed. On one hand, they were getting themselves ready to bring Rodica home, on the other hand, they were still curious to know her past. They wanted to answer all her questions when Rodica turns old enough and they tell her about her background. Certainly, this search was soon going to end at a significant turn…
Won’t Leave So Soon
After adopting Rodica, Ron and Natalie made a decision that they’ll not be leaving Romania unless they get to know more about their new daughter’s past. They made a decision after seeing the then current scenario of the country, they knew nobody will be helping them in looking for the records if they leave. Although staying there wasn’t working enough too but they insisted on digging deeper into their girl’s past.
A Bit Help Won’t Harm
Thanks to a few people who understood this Canadian couple’s concern and were ready to help them in the search process. It was taking a long time to search but there was something that kept them going on. There was this one person who called at the hotel where the couple was staying and said that he finally found something that might be what Ron and Natalie were looking for.
