Surprising To-Do List
If she ever got a chance to visit New York her to-do list would include a walk on the streets and ask a police officer about the nearest coffee shop. In response, Detective Shank told her, “I don’t know about coffee, but I can show you where all the best doughnuts are.”
Not a surprising moment just for Berenice
When asked about her experience of meeting the New York Police Officer Berenice said, “I was pleasantly surprised…and I’ve decided, I’m going to go to New York.” This moment was not surprising for Berenice only…
A Needy Boy
A boy named Jackson Arneson 8, who is a resident of Janesville, Wi, was diagnosed with a rare condition called Posterior Urethral Valves. It’s a congenital disease that mitigates the function of his kidneys and the condition goes from bad to worse.
An Urgent Kidney Transplant
It was known to Jackson’s family that he would one day need a kidney transplant, but it became an urgency in February 2017. Jackson’s condition was critical and he was in dire need of a kidney, and if he didn’t receive it soon enough, then it would be difficult for him to survive.
No Matching Donor
The family knew that Jackson needed a kidney donor who matched his blood type, and which was O positive. No one from his family matched the blood group. The authorities had put them on the waiting list of kidney donation with a waiting period of 3 to 7 years or even more than that.
Social Media Helps
Like a lot of people nowadays do, Jackson’s mother, Kristi Goll used her Facebook account to spread the word about her son. Kristi mentioned everything related to the donation, even the complications related to it.
