NathanAn Injured Pitbull
Beauties and Beasts received a call where they were informed that a pit bull puppy had been attacked and needed to be rescued quickly. The person who found him had taken him to a local vet.
A Puppy In Distress
This happened on the eve of Christmas. Even though it was a holiday the rescuers wasted no time as the little dog had multiple injuries. Moreover, the puppy’s head was completely swollen and seemed to have starved for a few days.
Giving Him A Name
As soon as they reached him, the Wichita, Kansas, rescue immediately agreed to cover all of his medical bills. They also decided to name the little guy, Jonah.
His First Foster Mom
“If it had been just a few more days, he probably wouldn’t have made it,” Kristen Sewell, told The Dodo in an interview. She was Jonah’s first foster mom. “He was about 10 weeks old, but only weighed 4 pounds. His hair was falling out from malnutrition.”
An Excited Fighter
Jonah had gone through so much pain and trauma but still managed to stay jolly. When Sewell and her husband, Brian, met him for the first time, Jonah was filled with excitement and remained hyperactive.
Getting Quite Surprised
It surprised the couple to see the little puppy show so much affection on their first meeting. “He was wiggling his little butt like crazy and was just so sweet,” Sewell revealed.
