What if life was more like a game. Not like any ordinary game but the game of hunting treasures? Life is still a game and the difference is that we don’t hunt treasures. If we go back to the year 2003, when Pirates of the Caribbean, the curse of the black pearl was released, a movie which not only gave people Captain Jack Sparrow but also the desire to live like a Pirate.
In our childhood, we have all played hide and seek. Well, a company in Edmonton, Albert, was established with the dream to hunt for buried treasure, and are making this a reality for thousands of people, their friends, and families. But in this game, instead of people, this company hides treasures that are worth changing the fortune of a family.
Meet The Family
Bryan and Jody Duff of Sherwood were no different. They had 2 kids Brylee and Logan. They shared an immense love for quest and treasures just like pirates. They went for a treasure hunt for fun but who knew their fun could result in this way.
Life Before Quest
Jody and Bryan always wished they had a life without drama. They wished to send their kids to college without a college loan and to make that dream come true they worked 16 hours a day. But still, they were disheartened! It seemed that like working 16 hours a day wasn’t enough.
Family Time
As they were fond of solving puzzles they made a ritual that no matter what once a week all the members would sit together and solve the mysteries together. Seeing Jody and Bryan’s interest, Brylee and Logan also developed an interest in puzzles.
Relationship
Like many of us, Bryan and Logan did not have had a smooth relationship. They both use to quarrel often and after the argument, Logan used to leave the house and stay at friends’ place. There used to be days when they did not speak to each other at all.
Escaping Tension
No relationship has ever been a cakewalk. There are times when the storms arrive without any warning. It was a similar situation for the Duff family too. One night, Logan told Bryan that he wants to buy a truck as he wished to open a food truck and work on it after school hours. Hearing this Bryan became as furious.
Confrontation
Bryan was really not angry with Logan for expressing his desire. He was angry because he felt like a failure. Logan’s idea of a food truck gave him a feeling like whatever he was doing for his family wasn’t enough.
