However, not everyone gets to cherish these happy moments in life. Some people are unfortunate. Similarly, the adopted children are always devoid of their biological parents’ love. And for them, life is an altogether different challenge.
Stephen Strawn who was a resident of Ohio was in search of his biological mother since the last three decades. He wasn’t sure about her whereabouts and had absolutely no link or contact with her. Searching for her since long, he gave up hope and then while he was running the half Marathon at Pittsburg his world turns upside down when he stumbles upon the unbelievable.
The Veteran
Stephen Strawn is a war veteran serving his country for a considerable period of time. Though now he is about 35-years-old, he was always aware that he was brought up by an adopted set of parents. Devoted his life entirely to the nation, this war veteran then decides to look back in his life and find the missing parts of the puzzle. However, he had never thought that it was going to be a tough one.
Emotional Conflict
We always have this assumption that as an individual serves the army, he is the one very strong and stable at life. However, we often forget that they too are emotional beings. They do have the courage to leave behind their family for their country, but their family does hold their heart. And when Stephen turned his face towards his past, all he wanted to know was about his biological mother or the biological family.
A Concern
The very obvious instinct that came to Stephen was to ask his adoptive parents about his biological parents. However, he was worried that asking this question from them now might hurt their feelings and could possibly come as a shock to them. After all, in all these years they have nurtured him with all their love and care and have made him what he is today. Maybe he had no other choice than asking them.
Gathering Courage
Stephen wasn’t very sure of what to do. But now that he genuinely wanted the answers to his lost past, he gathered all his courage and asked the same to his adopted parents. Stephen had not anticipated what was coming. His parents’ reaction adversely impacted his life. What did they say?
Strange But Okay
When Stephen kept the question of his biological parents, his adopted parents were taken aback initially. However, they did not mind sharing the details about his birth family as they believed that he had the whole right to ask so. However, even they did not have many answers to everything. Still, they provided him with a link that might help him.
The Name
Stephen was told that he was adopted only when he was barely 2-3 months old. And even his adopted parents never got to meet his father. They only did the formalities with his biological mother. And they only knew her first name, “Stacey”. Little did Stephen know that this “name” will be a mystery all in itself.
