This Is Walter Carr

Walter did not actually have a comfortable life growing up. In fact, he was one of the people who had to experience the wrath of one of the most destructive hurricanes in the history of America. Walter who is 20-year of age, is also a college student. He had to move to Homewood, Alabama after he and his mom lost everything due to Hurricane Katrina. Even though his home had been taken away from him, Walter did not let that distract him from being set on his aims in life. In the future, Walter hopes to serve as a marine. He had always been fascinated by the marines and also held them on a high pedestal. He recently got a job and what happened on the first day of his job was definitely something that helps him reach his goals.

Worst First Day

We can all relate with Walter when we say that he was excited to go to on the first day of his work. Nothing could wipe the smile off of his face as he would now be earning money himself. Carr could not wait to be active and participate as a new employee at Bellhops, a moving company.  The most unexpected thing took place as his car broke down while on his way to work. While some of us would look at this as a sign to just give up, Walter was not one to just toss his first day of work away. Even though his workplace was actually 20 miles away, Walter did not let that drag him down but instead thought of a very draining solution. He did not want to disappoint the people he was going to work for so he decided to walk.

Crossing 14 Miles

Walter’s determination of getting to his workplace was evident as he had already walked a 10-mile mark. He continued to walk towards his work site and had now crossed the 14-mile mark. To see some guy walking in the middle of the road around midnight would be weird for anyone. A few policemen saw him and rushed towards him to see if he was alright. On the first day of his work, Walter had already been assigned some work. He had plenty of work to help a family move. To come to work the first day on a police car is something very few people will ever get to experience or witness. The level of commitment that the 20-year-old had was something that moved the owner of the house.
