 The Beginning

Initially, Shannon had no intention of serving in the navy. In fact, having a career in the military did not cross her mind until she entered her graduation! After passing out her high school this pretty young lady chose the most followed option and went on to apply for college. It was a typical four-year college located near her home. Little did she know, she would be known as a marine who lived a dual life and only revealed it post retirement.

Not Having Anything Interesting!

Hardly a year had passed by, the girl began to get bored of the university life. It was far from what she had expected. She found her college completely in contrast with the colleges and universities she had in her imaginations nor the subject interested her. Consequently, she began to seek other available options! Even when she got into the marine cops, she lived a dual life and was somehow able to deceive the authorities.

Looking For Job

After entering the college, she thought of doing some part-time jobs to earn enough money to pay her bills. Throughout the year along with taking classes, she continued working. However, she failed to earn enough money and as a result, thought of changing the job. It was during her second job she began questioning if her degree is worth the struggle she was undergoing?

Ad That Changed Her Life

While ambling on her campus one day she saw an advertisement, it was about enlistment in the army. The advertisement gave her an idea. She started to ponder about getting enrolled in the army. Perhaps admission in the army would provide her the change she was looking for. But she had no idea the hardship this profession required.

Marine

Ignoring all the susceptibilities of people she finally joined marines. Thereafter, she went to South Carolina to undergo boot camp training. She knew it was going to be quite a feat. But the words of the recruiter were still inside her head. In fact, not just the recruiter but all other women trainees also thought that she would not be able to survive the hardship of a training and would give up one day.
