The Wanted

The house was selling itself. Whoever saw the house wanted it. And why wouldn’t they? The neighborhood was good, the location was nice, and the house was extraordinary. But the amazing thing was not only people who were looking to buy a new place were interested but even those who didn’t want one. The house was just an amazing deal that everyone wanted to sign.

A Museum Or A Home?

Soon, the story of Joyce and her amazing house was anyone could talk about. Everyone was astounded to see a house this old was still intact and worked as a time capsule. Both the two sisters knew that house would fetch an amazing price but it was Joyce’s interior decoration that became the new sensation on the news and social media. To many, the house felt more like a museum that displayed the era of the 1940s. According to Joyce, not many changes have been made in the house except for one.

The Renovation

The only thing which ever changed in the house was the kitchen and that too back in the 1960s when the upgrade was indeed required because of the appliances that were out in the market which made the work easy for the housewives back then. Joyce proudly says that even the appliances in the kitchen are from the 1960s they still work perfectly fine even today.

Retirement

But the question is if Joyce is selling her beautiful house then where is she gonna live next. What’s her plan? She has spent her whole life to make the house the way it looks today. But now it was on sale and Joyce would soon move out. Joyce told them that she would move to the retirement community and would take a break she deserves from all the hectic life. It is hard to believe that Joyce was a seamstress before she got retired. The way she has decorated her house is on par with the professional interior designer. “I’ve always tried to be individual, and follow my own styles,” she told HGTV.

Lingering Questions

Joyce and her husband moved to this house back in 1942. It was the time of war. But the question was would the new owners keep the house exactly the same or would they completely give it a new shape according to their choice. Because if they did then this masterpiece won’t be there anymore and all the efforts Joyce has put in would all be for nothing. There are no reports about who bought the house or it is even in the listings anymore. We hope the new owners don’t change the interiors because just look at the pictures the house is amazing.

The Big Downside

Joyce’s daughter has already told that she would be keeping all the furniture of the house. The furniture in the house belongs to the 1940s and if considered today some of them are even priceless. The decision of Joyce’s daughter to keep the furniture to herself seems perfectly justified.
