Gladys and Carla have already sold many properties in the Old Mill neighborhood and knew how much profit could be earned. But the amount which they could fetch after sending Joyce’s house was out of the charts. Even after excluding every possible problem the house could have the estimated value of the house was whopping $968,000. But the problem was would anybody buy the house after facing the secret it holds inside. The deadline was approaching and Joyce could change her mind about selling the house.
Fleeting Uncertainty
Though Joyce was determined to sell the house it was the hesitancy in her voice that concerned both the sisters. They couldn’t tell if she wanted to sell the house or a secret inside the house. She has been living in the house for an amazing 72 years, where all the memories are still intact and still she was ready to sell the house. They needed to see the house but they have to do it together.
A Shocking Scene
It has already been a week and the deadline was also approaching, still, Gladys and Carla were unaware of the house as in how it looks and all. They still need to check the house and see by themselves what all problems and qualities it holds that could attract potential buyers. Finally, they made their decision and the moment they saw the inside of the house they were left speechless. They saw something that stayed hidden inside the house for more than Joyce’s age.
Final Decisions
Gladys and Carla got ready to check Joyce’s house. There was nothing exceptional if you go by the looks of the house because of each and every house looks almost similar. The duo already told Joyce about the decision of selling her house but even then she wasn’t looking that enthusiastic. They rang the bell of the house and stood there for a while. With no answer from the inside, they called her up. Joyce wasn’t even picking up the phone. Is she even in there? What they did next and what they saw shocked them to the core.
Sneaking Around
Gladys and Carla were standing outside the house and when they got no answer from Joyce even after they called her up they decided to check the outside of the house. They thought she might be out or somewhere. They wouldn’t have imagined the glimpse of something that would catch their eyes. They weren’t exactly at the back of the house but somewhere in the middle where one of the window’s curtain wasn’t drawn. They saw it and were taken aback.
She Was Home
Joyce saw Gladys and Carla’s car parked outside the house but she didn’t know whose it could be. She saw two women checking her house at the back and called them out. The duo introduced themselves and apologized for their sneak out behavior attitude. Joyce could see that they saw something and that was clearly on their face. Without wasting any time she invited them inside the house and soon everything was about to change for these two sisters.
