Dreams Do Come True
Since that day, Stephen has been continuously in touch with this officer and his fellow men as well. As a token of their undying gratitude, the officers at the police station have allowed him to visit the police station whenever he wants to with his mother and even gave him a spare badge to take to his school for show and tell.
Worldwide Appreciation
Not long after that incident, the story captured the attention of mainstream media and started making rounds around the world! Comments form countries like Norway, Italy and Netherland started pouring in on the facebook post. One guy commented: “He is going to be one Great cop! Thank you, Noah, you are a good and thoughtful person. Good luck in the future! You must have a good mom too!”
One Proud Mom
“I’m going to make the world a better place and capture the bad guys,” Noah said. His mom’s response was justly touching: “If Noah does put on the police uniform and badge in 10 years’ time, I will be one proud mom.”
A Budding Friendship
Soon both Stephen and the police officer were interviewed by ABC7 News. Officer Uribe even allowed the little man to get a ride in his patrol car, which naturally made Stephens day! This police officer is so proud that he carried Stephen’s note everywhere with him. “I’ve got it right here, ‘cause I’m gonna keep it as long as I can,” he said.
