Reckless Behaviour
Lynch was taken aback by his new neighbor’s audacity. At first, he could not understand what to do. Talking to the man was like talking to a wall. He was not willing to listen. Lynch had never thought he would have to face such a situation at this age. The inexplicable behavior of his neighbor had now started to get on his nerves. He wondered, “What’s he going to do with these extra few yards of concrete?”
Trying To Find Proof
Now, the old man was in dilemma. If he tries to remove the blocks, it would prove fatal for his driveway and if he does not do anything, then he would lose his driveway to his obstinate neighbor. Lynch had to tackle the matter smartly. That is why he began with clearing the legal issues. He started off by retrieving the evidence substantiating that the land was his.
The Paper
He looked for the papers in his files and after an hour of rummaging through the papers, he finally managed to get his hand on the record. It was clearly stated in the record that he had complete right on the land extending up to 12 foot from his house.
Questioning His Character
Lynch was very hopeful about his new neighbor as he was a minister by profession. But now after noting his deceptive behavior, he doubted if he was true to his profession. He was nothing but a hypocrite. According to him, “he was a minister or something like that, [A] God-fearing man. But I don’t think that’s very Christian-like.” It was difficult for him to accept the fact that someone working for the church can be so cold-hearted and greedy.
Against Bible
The bible preaches about loving your neighbors. And Lynch’s neighbor who himself was a part of the church should have been the one upholding this value. Instead, he chose to fulfill his own inappropriate greed. Lynch was greatly disappointed in him. After all, he was a god of man and was behaving like a devil.
Running Out Of Options
Lynch rushed to the county after retrieving the required papers. He hoped that the officers would listen to him and would help him get out of this problem. All this while, Lynch knew that it was not going to be easy to make his neighbor give up on that piece of land. Nevertheless, he decided to go with the flow.
