Addie belonged to a normal working class family who found it hard to meet the expenses to fight her medical condition. They were gutted after knowing about their daughter’s syndrome and all they wanted was to help her in getting out of it. They wanted the best life for their daughter but their lack of funds acted as an obstacle between them and their happiness. However, they were lucky enough as Texas Scottish Rite Hospital stepped forward to help them; a place that relied on donations. A lot of credit goes to the hospital for where Addie is at today in her life.

Even if it’s a long lasting medication or a therapy or surgeries and rehabs, the money one needs to keep up to them can often be financially backbreaking for a commoner. The treatment is pretty expensive no matter in which part of the world you live and often almost leaves many families bankrupt. Things get even worse when they have to sell their home or other assets to get the money they require and end up being indebted. Thankfully, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital came to Addie’s rescue and she and her family didn’t have to suffer much.

Beautiful Soul Beautiful Soul

We all know how pervasive the media is and it is almost omnipresent. It can reach to thousands and millions of people in the real time and sometimes they don’t hesitate from spreading a beautiful message like Addie’s.  “I want to give the money to the hospital for new prosthetics for other children like me” Addie said. Addie is winning hearts of many out there with her story and she finally made her birthday wish come true.

A Gift A Gift

What a proud moment for Addie’s parents. Not only had their daughter made a wish for others on the occasion of her birthday, but she had also made it easy for those in need much like she once was. The seven-year-old is an inspiration to all us grown-ups. “Be the change you want to see in the world,” and the little girl answered the question which has been raised many times as to how can we possibly do it. Well if a seven-year-old can, we can certainly take notes from her story and learn for the better of the world we live in.
