Awaiting The Final Approval
On August 19, Joana went for the interview in the U.S. embassy in Manila. It took a long process before she was finally informed that her application got approved. Tyrel took her to Midvale, Idaho on September 4 where they were about to embark upon a new journey.
The Big Day
On October 5, 2014, Joana and Tyrel got married. Within a month of Joana’s moving to the U.S., they became family. Sadly, Joana’s family wasn’t approved for Visa and participated in the marriage through Skype. With her family miles away, Joana was alone in the new city with new people and Tyrel was the only person who she felt comfortable with at first. Tyrel’s family did something special for Joana and her family back home, something that made all of them emotional.
A Bright Future
Tyrel came up with the idea of arranging a second wedding in the Philippines so that Joana’s family could become a part of their wedding. Although they didn’t know when they’ll be returning but they made sure that whenever the time comes, they’ll be marrying again! Within her next eight months in America, Joana traveled across eight states as Tyrel’s job required a lot of traveling and they were enjoying it. There’s the sweetest part we haven’t disclosed about their wedding.
A Thoughtful Tribute
Every guest who became a part of their wedding was told to pack a gift of a shoebox and gave it to the charity organization. This was Joana and Tyrel’s tribute to the charity organization with the help of which they both were together today. Everything was going great but their most special trip was still on hold…
Desperate For Quezon City
They finally made it to the Philippines two years after their wedding. In October 2016, Joana and Tyrel were glad that they, at last, came back to the place where their love started. Joana proved herself as an outstanding personality who was admired by all Tyrel’s friends and family members. Racel, her mother was proud to see her daughter happy.
Unconventional Domestic Life
Joana studied Culinary Arts and Hospitality in the Philippines but she cherished each and every day of her life as a housewife too! She managed to travel everywhere with Tyrel and prepared meals for him in their RV while he was out for work. The couple made a big announcement when they were with Joana’s family.
