As Tyrel and Joana started talking they realized that they shared the same interests. They liked the same kind of music even had a strong faith in Christianity. They talked with each other for almost a year through Facebook and became best friends in no time. They knew each other better than anyone else which was not at all common to happen for people only connected through the internet. Will their friendship only stay bound to Facebook or had the destiny planned something else?
The Big Decision
Tyrel liked Joana and it was more than a year since he first started talking to her. The next step was a big one but Tyrel was up for the challenge. He wanted to see his friend and was ready to take the risk for Joana. He started saving for a trip to the Philippines to meet her. What if the person he has been talking with for so long was not the real Joana? What if the whole story of someone receiving his shoebox was a trap?
Saved Enough?
He worked for his father as a trail and bridge builder at state parks. By the end of May 2013, Tyrel saved enough money to afford a 10 days trip to Quezon City, Philippines. It was the first time that he was leaving his country alone and that too to meet a stranger. His family and friends weren’t really convinced with the whole idea but finally agreed. Was it all worth it?
His First Trip To Joana
Tyrel was in the flight for the first time and all alone. Throughout the flight, he was anxiously thinking of what might happen when he gets down. Will Joana be waiting for him there? Yes, she was waiting for him right there. Looking at her for the first time, Tyrel forgot all his worries.
Head Over Heels
Tyrel wasn’t expected her to be there but she was in real. Both of them fell for each other at first sight. They were truly in love and 10 days passed by quickly. They are overwhelmed to see that they were exactly perfect for each other in all the ways. There was a lot more than that to happen during this trip…
The Feeling Of Love
Joana never felt this special before. Tyrel came to meet her all the way from the U.S. which was surprising for her. Any girl would go crazy for a guy like him. The two seemed to be the best example of made for each other wherever they went. So far, Tyrel’s family knew that he went to meet his friend but they didn’t know that he’ll be returning to his home as a guy completely in love. Tyrel wanted to see how his family will react to all this.
