Who Is This?
There was a note on the car that read, “If [you’re] wondering what [happened] to your car, Bus 449 hit [it]. It stops here every day to drop me off at 5:00 p.m.” The writer even put a subheading: “What happened?” Later on, the writer described the entire scene step by step. It was a handwritten note by a stranger. Hence, when Andrew thought it was over, it actually has just begun.
Being Honest
The writer was empathizing with Andrew for his loss. The person wrote, “[The school bus driver] was trying to pull off and hit the car. She hit and [ran]. She tried to [veer] over and squeeze [through] but couldn’t. [The driver then] actually squeezed [through], she made a dent, and I saw what happened. Sorry.”
The Note
Thankfully, the writer mentioned some very important information. With the number of the bus that hit the car with a hand-drawn image of the bus. The writer was an artist for sure. Unlike the irresponsible driver who hit his car, this writer was a well-wisher.
A Sixth Grader
The writer didn’t mention the real identity and preferred to mention, “A sixth-grader at Houghton Academy.” This meant a lot to Andrew and he wanted to praise this person even when he didn’t know who he/she was. Also, the bus driver had some answers to give.
Let’s Go Online
“Shout-out to the anonymous sixth-grader for saving me a couple thousand [dollars]. Bus not drawn to scale.” He posted a photo of the note on Twitter and waited for a response. What he didn’t know was that this post would go viral overnight.
Loads Of Response
Surprisingly, Andrew’s tweet received more than 1.2 million likes. Moreover, it got more than 260,000 retweets and in more than 4000 comments, people were sharing similar kind of incidents. The story took a step forward when the sixth grader’s teacher noticed the tweet.
