Where Did They Go?
There are several answers to this question, where did the Neanderthals go? According to the scientists, one of the most popular theory is that when humans arrived in Western Europe they got scared after seeing a different species and killed them all. There is one more theory that suggests the Homo sapiens were carrying some sort of disease when they arrived in Europe of which the Neanderthals’ weren’t immune of.
Creative Interests
Despite the fact that we don’t see Neanderthals anymore around, new knowledge of their past existence is uncovered daily by the scientists. Recently, in France jewelry was discovered which was believed to be designed by Neanderthals. This jewelry was over 43,000 years old. This discovery suggested that these people were pretty much creative when it comes to art.
Copycat Behavior
There is one more theory that revolves around the Neanderthals, it is said that they started mimicking the humans to which they shared the area some 43,000 years ago. Despite the fact that they copied humans, the truth doesn’t change that the Neanderthals were smart enough to replicate the jewelry made by the humans. Even copying something requires a good brain, and naturally, these people weren’t dumb. They weren’t as dumb as scientists thought.
Symbolic or Artistic?
“Some previous claims for Neanderthal symbolic behavior had dating uncertainties or lay within inferred overlaps between Neanderthals and Homo sapiens 40,000 to 60,000 years ago, meaning that they could still be attributed to modern humans, or to the influence of modern humans on Neanderthal behavior,” said Chris Stringer, London Natural History Museum.
A Stunning Discovery
These stunning artworks were discovered in three locations in Spain that made scientists scratch their heads. They couldn’t believe the fact that the species they thought were inferior to humans have created these paintings that were par with human paintings of that time. After this discovery, everything changed about the Neanderthals and Homo sapiens…
Before Homo Sapiens
Hidden deep inside the caves of Spain, three locations were discovered consisting with some incredible artworks that date back to 65,000 years. By that time, Homo sapiens weren’t there as they came after 20,000 years. Scientists suggested that it must have been the Neanderthals who lived in these locations of Spain. But did they really created these paintings?
