Opening The Doors
And then after learning that her father would not be able to answer her, Savannah immediately went and checked herself. She went to the door to see if was unlocked or not. And when she was that it was indeed locked, she opened it for the officers to be able to enter. This was what the dispatcher had instructed her to do. Then Savannah discovered something strange…
Guests
But when she opened the door, Savannah realized that there was something else she needed to do. She knew that those “guests” will arrive any minute now so she needed to get dressed. They were nearly reaching her home so she informed the dispatcher that she had on just a tank top. She then told him that she would need to get dressed.
It Was Okay
And then this polite little girl was informed by the operator that she had nothing to worry about. The officer gave her advice and requested her to be with her father. Since he was in a critical condition, it was not good if she left him all alone. He also explained to her that the officers would not mind what she was wearing. Even if she was just in her pajamas, it was alright.
Made Him Safe
The 5-year-old was handling the situation really well and she was not freaking out even though her responsibility at this point was quite major. Since she was also told by the dispatcher that her dad needed her beside him, Savanna made sure her father knew that she was there for him. She did not forget to motivate him and also tried to calm him. It was as if she was in total control.

She was still on the phone with the operator as they had to instruct her on how to handle the situation with her father. Savanna was a good listener and did everything she was advised to do. Even though she was young and naive, she did not panic and was actually handling the incident really well.
