Siberian Musk Deer
Siberian Musk Deer or “vampire deer” are found in the primeval forest of northeastern Asia. Though they aren’t endangered yet soon they would be if not taken take care properly. They are poached for their odiferous musk glands which fetch a very high price in the black market. You must be thinking about why they are called vampire deer? There is a reason.
Vampire Deer
Looking at that scary dentition you might feel little scared at first but don’t be because they are strict herbivores. They use these two tusks for fighting. They aren’t spotted that easily in the forest but you can see two males at Ranua Wildlife Park in the Finnish Lapland.
Sandhill Cranes
The oldest fossil sandhill crane which was discovered was two-and-a-half million years old. Each spring, sandhill cranes migrate in masses to their breeding ground in Kearney and Nebraska. Over half a million birds gather here and after some mysterious signaling, they depart the place at once. This gathering is known as the best show in the wildlife world.
Beauty To Watch
They are also famous for being a natural vacuum cleaner for the sea floor. They clean up the clams, crabs, and anything that comes near their mouth which is strangely similar to like ours. As we have already told you about their oldest fossil which was found which makes them very ancient.
Walruses
Walruses are what like 600,000 years old. Most of the time they could be seen hanging out on the ice floes, but between May and August, they can be seen in the huge crowd called haulouts. And it’s during this season when males fight against each other for control of the females.
Don’t Go Near Them
