See You Again

Jim used to sit next to the radio all day long, just to stay updated with all the news of the war. It was stressing for their parents too, one kid in the Warfield, and other completely lost in the thoughts of his sibling. Jim grew mature overnight after his brother left. He was aware of all the possibilities that might take place. Soon, one of these possibilities turned into reality.

Summer Of 1945

Those nightmares were not just Jim’s fears but the heartbreaking reality. The Crawford family never forgot that summer of 1945 when two soldiers knocked on their door. They had the sad news no one was prepared to hear. One can not run away from the truth.

Night Flight Training Mission

Harold, who was counted among the expert pilots was assigned a night flight training mission. The mission was difficult and Harold knew the success rates of similar missions have been very low. The young man was ready to give it a go aware of the fact that it could be the last takeoff of his life.

Tragic Crash

Harold’s plane took off but never landed as it was planned rather it crashed in the remote area of Oahu. The fighter plane got off the record and nobody knew what happened to the young pilot. Was he alive?

Search Operation

After 3 days, a search team finally found the crashed plane and the dead pilot’s body. He was just 21 years old and he left his 13 years old brother with grief that he’ll never be able to get over. And the war was still going on which meant the family couldn’t even be there for the brave soldier’s burial.

Not Safe Enough

A few weeks later, the procedure was followed and a group of soldiers recited the Lord’s Prayer where the 21-year-old pilot was buried. His body was left there and forgotten but the Crawfords couldn’t forget about it. They knew Harold was gone and they knew they didn’t give him the closure he deserved.
