And when she came to know the reality, she did not think twice and just embraced her son in her arms. She hugged Stephen tight and probably Stephen did that tighter. The duo had tears in their eyes and the moment they shared was priceless.
Her Story
Stacey did not let go of that hug. And when she did, all she was doing was looking at Stephen with a heavy heart and tears. She tells him that even she had been looking for him for a long time but as she was very young when she offered him for adoption she never knew anything about his whereabouts.
The Circumstances
Faix recalls that she was only 17 years old when she gave birth to Stephen. And at that age, she wasn’t allowed to bear the responsibilities of a child and had no other choice than offering him for adoption. Now that she was seeing her son all grown up and safe and healthy, her happiness was over the moon.
The Applaud
Everyone else standing in the ground and those who witness the scene went emotional. One can understand how crucial the moment was the mother and the son duo. They were meeting after being drifted for nearly 35 long years. And when they shared the hug, all of the spectators applauded.
Proud Feeling
Stacey was glad to realize that the team she had always been running for supported veterans. And when she earned that Stephen her son was also a veteran, she couldn’t be more proud. She was really glad to have her son standing for the country.
A Passion
One thing that Stacey and Stephen laughed at was how surprising it is that they met over the Pittsburgh Marathon. They both shared the same interest and passion for running. Stephen laughs that he got the genes of a marathon runner from Stacey only.
