Blaming Herself

While everyone was worried, Amber was blaming herself for all that happened. “Is this my fault? I’m the one that wanted to see him tonight. I felt horrible and somewhat responsible,” she kept on thinking over and over again and again but worrying was not going to make things back to normal.

An Operation To Save His Mobility

“The next day being Friday, he had a 9-hour surgery to repair his injury (as much as possible),” said Amber who was just like the rest of the people was keeping her fingers crossed. Her father stayed at the hospital with her the whole time.

The Best Surgeons Available

“He had the best surgeons in the area doing their very best to regain any type of moment possible,” she explained what was keeping her and the others hopeful in the difficult times. The results of the operation can only be revealed once Ty wakes up.

Praying For The Best

“Ty had one plate, two rods and 14 screws placed. The surgery went as planned, and we were just praying for the best. He remained sedated through the weekend to allow his body to rest and heal a little,” revealed Amber. Her father took her home and asked her to continue the schooling which she did. Also, she was visiting Ty at the hospital on daily basis.

Returning To School

Yes, it was hard for her to concentrate but she started school again. “I continued to go to high school as any 16-year-old girl would. On Monday, I called after school to get the latest report. He’s awake and asking for me,” said Amber who has been expecting to hear this news every time she called Ty’s parents to know his health.

Magical Moment

“My heart had never been so happy. Wait, is this really what it feels like to be in love with someone? I made it to his ICU unit and locked eyes with him again, finally,” explained Amber who was living the most emotional moment of his life. He was still in the same room where she used to visit him daily but this time he was not unconscious.
