There was a lot of metal piece mixed with the dirt. They had around 2,000- 5,000 pieces of metal by the time they stopped excavating. It seemed that the metal pieces belonged to a plane’s cockpit. They kept digging and what they found next made them go weak from the knee.

So what they got next? They discovered a motor. “It was maybe 2,000 – 5,000 pieces of a plane. And we found a motor…,” Klaus said. On investigating further, Klaus learned that this motor was once a part of German munitions, Bf 109 Messerschmitt plane. But it was not what made their blood run cold. They were about to uncover something even weirder.

Clothes And Bones

Thereafter, father and son got their hands on a bunch of clothes. On digging further they spotted bones and then a dead body. Klaus remarks, “then suddenly we found parts of bones, and parts from [the pilot’s] clothes.” The body must be of the pilot. They found many things on him. Klaus told, “we found some personal things.” “Books, a little Bible…in his pocket. Either it was a little Bible or it was Mein Kampf – a book in his pocket. We didn’t touch it, we just put it in some bags.”,” he added. They found some more astonishing stuff.

Remains Of Past

The duo also discovered folded paper for cigarettes, a wallet that bore Nazi insignia, Germany money, and much more stuff. It was going to be a remarkable discovery made by an ordinary father and son. the story behind this unfortunate plane crash was going to give them chill. Meanwhile, they discovered some ammunition too.

Found Explosions

The two got stunned when they saw the arms that seemed unused. They called the bomb disposal experts and the police to get them checked. They stayed off the farm, for the time the police arrived.

Calling For Help

Klaus immediately informed Worl War II historians and Danish authorities about their findings. They put the findings inside a tiny bag and brought them home. As far as the body is concerned, the forensic experts removed his body and hoped that it would get identified soon.
