Europe is a place where some world’s greatest cultures and civilizations originated in the history of human civilization. The land is filled with several stories and mysteries still waiting to get revealed. Everyday archeologists are making some interesting discoveries in this place which not only holds some valuable treasure but important lessons about history.
History Of Europe
Europe which is only 4,000,000 square miles, is the second smallest continent in the world after Australia. Despite being so small in size, Europe is quite populated. It comes just after Asia and Africa if talked about the population. Europe which was ruled under several civilizations holds a very important place in the history of the world.
Past Empires
As we have already told you about the past empires that flourished on the lands of Europe, the Roman Empire remains the biggest and most popular among all. The Roman Empire is believed to have led the way of the modern world and holds a very special place in history. After the Roman Empire, it was the British, Spanish, and Russian Empires that led the world to where it is right now.
The Roman Empire
The ancient Roman Empire started in the 8th century on the Italian Peninsula. In 753 B.C. King Romulus made it a very strong and rich civilization that lasted for the next 100 years. By 117 AD, the Roman Empire grew a lot bigger covering the lands of the Mediterranean and Europe and covering the whole of Italy. But there is a very interesting story about King Romulus…
He Became The King
According to the Roman Legend, King Romulus had a twin brother named Remus. The twins were left in the forest which later was named Rome when they were just infants. A she-wolf took the kids and raised them, but when the twins grew up, Romulus defeated Remus and killed him and later became the first ruler of Rome!
This discovery made by Luka and his teacher Rene has proved to the world that there is a lot that this place holds about the past.
