This show displayed the intricate details of the life of prosecutors and detectives. With its first episode airing in the year 1990, the show became a fan-favorite, with the characters of many detectives becoming a household name. Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner)

Tamara Tunie became a household name after appearing in the show “The World Turns” in which she played the character of Jessica Griffin. After working in the show, she has done many TV series, most notable ones are “Blue Bloods”, “Billions”, and ” Elementary.” Apart from appearing on TV shows, she has also done a movie starring Denzel Washington named “Flight.”

Chris Noth (Detective Mike Logan)

Chris Noth, the man who played the role of Detective Mike Logan in the show, didn’t seem to run out of opportunities after working in the show from 1990-1995 as, he went on to appear in shows like “The Good Wife,” “Sex and the City” and recently “Tyrant.” He was even given the title of GQ’s International Man of the Year in 2015.

Michelle Hurd (Detective Monique Jeffries)

Monique Hurd has also appeared in a number of shows like “Daredevil,” “Hawaii Five-O,”  “Gossip Girl,”  “Devious Maids,” “The Glades,” “90210,”  “ER,” and “Ash vs. Evil Dead.” This actress who can presently be seen in the role of Shepherd in the series “Blindspot” appeared as Angela Roney in the show “Law & Order.”

Benjamin Bratt (Detective Rey Curtis)

Benjamin Bratt has enjoyed considerable success while working in TV series and still continues to do so. He appeared on the show as Det. Rey Curtis from the year 1995 to 1999 and has acted in Television shows like “Private Practice,” “24: Live Another Day,” and “Modern Family.” He even appeared in the movie “Doctor Strange” made by Marvel.

Fred Dalton Thompson (D.A. Arthur Branch)

It was an amazing coincidence that Fred Dalton the actor who played the role of D.A. Arthur Branch was a prosecutor in both the show and real life. He appeared in movies like “Secretariat,” “Sinister,” “90 Minutes in Heaven.” Unfortunately, the actor who left the show in the year 2008 died in 2015 due to recurrence of lymphoma. He aged 73 at that time.

Carey Lowell (D.A. Jamie Ross)

Carey Lowell appeared on the show from 1996 to 2001 before leaving the show in its 8th Season in order to look after her daughter. This woman married Richard Gere in the year 2002 and eventually got divorced in the year 2016. She was recently seen working in the film “C Street.” She even did modeling for quite some time.
